We have a rich and exciting program in research and scholarship within the College of Health Sciences. You will find scientists and scholars deeply committed and passionate about improving the health of some of the most significant challenges facing Kentuckians. Our work extends from the bench to the community with world class facilities and researchers leading the way. Our office strives to provide deep and enriching services to our faculty. We are proud of the array of programs we offer, ranging from pilot grant funding, early career mentorship, and robust services for our scholars among the 15 different programs we offer.

Mission Statement
The process of discovery at the College of Health Sciences is not linear, hierarchical, or even predictable. Discovery happens in the classroom and the clinic as often as it does in the laboratory, and high-quality health care often originates in the laboratory before it appears in the clinic. This synergistic understanding of discovery, learning and clinical practice characterizes the research at the College of Health Sciences.
The Office of Research and Scholarship (ORS) has a strong commitment to helping new, early stage and established investigators successfully compete for research funding and to helping all faculty achieve scholarly success
