Providence Ministries is a non profit ministry whose mission is to serve the poor in Denver. Providence Ministries is a division of Providence Bible Church.
In June of 2009, we were able to purchase a building in one of Denver’s neediest neighborhoods. We are currently operating several ministries out of there and our desire is to create several more.
- After-School Tutoring - We are partnering with a faith-based tutoring program to provide crucial academic help to under-performing students in DPS.
- Fatherless Outreach - We have started a team to help address the unique needs of the fatherless. James 1:27
- Homeless Family Mentoring - We partner with the Denver Road Home to mentor families who are coming out of homelessness.
- Addiction Recovery - We provide a weekly faith-based addiction recovery program for people with all types of addictions.
- Teen Outreach - We work with about 30-50 teens from Manual High School by providing tutoring, character development based on the Bible, and a safe place to hang out.
- Drug and Alcohol Classes We are looking to provide state-certified classes for those who need to fulfill their requirements after getting a DUI. We can provide these at a reduced rate thus allowing more addicts to become successful in their recovery.
We have an immediate need to raise money for renovations of the building, staffing, and operational costs for the year 2010.
